What Does the Typical Daily Field Hockey Camp Schedule Look Like?

When it comes to preparing for field hockey camp this summer, we’ve already gone over some of the basics. We’ve talked about what you need to pack before leaving the house, the different kinds of camps that are offered and a step-by-step guide on how to successfully sign up.

The one detail we haven’t gone over just yet is what you can expect at a Revolution Field Hockey Camp on a daily basis! We pride ourselves on no two camps being exactly alike, but there is a general guideline of activities you can expect to experience depending on the type of camp option chosen

For those attending one of our overnight camps this summer, here’s an idea of what you can expect each day:

7am Wake-up
7:45 Breakfast
9:00 Stretching and warm-up
9:15 First Field Hockey Session
11:15 Demos
11:30 Free time, Extra help
12pm Lunch, swim
2:00 Second Session
3:00 Small Games
4:30 Free time, Extra help
5:30 Dinner
6:30 Chalk talk
7:00 Team Games
8:30 Back to dorm, movies, pizza
10:30 Lights out

As you can see, we keep you busy from morning until night! This is definitely the option to choose if you’re looking for the “full experience” from a field hockey camp. If you want to be training and receiving instruction all day, but prefer to sleep in your own bed, the extended day option is a great one.

The day itself will be pretty similar to the overnight schedule above, but when the evening activities start, that’s when you head home. Here’s a look at the schedule:

1st Day: 12:00pm – 8:30pm
2nd & 3rd Day: 8:45am – 8:30pm
4th Day: 8:45am – 12:00pm

Don’t have time to spend 12 hours with us? Then a day camp is your next-best option. Here’s what the typical daily schedule looks like:

9am Campers arrive; Stretching and warm-up
9:15 First Field Hockey Session
10:15 Demos
10:30 Break
10:45 Second Session
12pm Lunch
1:00 Third Session
2:00 Scrimmages
3:00 Campers depart

As we mentioned before, the schedule could vary a little bit from what you see here, but it’s definitely nice to get a rough idea of what’s potentially coming so you can mentally prepare for it!

During these sessions, you’ll learn how to play field hockey through a variety of different formats, from speed and agility training to both team and individual drills. With everything we have ready to offer once the experience gets started, you can also expect to improve in every aspect of your game while training at the best facilities in town!

And it doesn’t matter where you’re attending a field hockey camp, whether it’s in California or Maine – we’re all ready to help you take your game to the next level! If you haven’t signed up for one of our camps yet, make it happen today and you could be trained by some of the game’s top coaches and players.
