What purchase of $100 or less has positively influenced your life in the past 6 months or recent memory?

My son’s basketball, because he loves to play outside everyday even in the SNOW and cold weather and I love to see him happy and excited to play!

Do you have a quote, phrase or motto that you use on a daily basis or during tough times? or maybe something you think of often or live your life by.

When you are not practicing remember somewhere someone is and when you meet them in head to head competition she will beat you.

What advice would you give a smart, driven 14 year old athlete about to enter high school and what advice should they ignore on the other hand?

That you can do anything you put your mind too! Do not let outside negative influences keep you from achieving your dreams.

What advice or realizations, do you have for people in the coaching field who are trying to achieve their team’s potential?

My first Fall at Goucher, my team worked very hard to achieve many team goals! After season we went on an ABROAD trip to Costa Rica and played their international teams. We had such an amazing experience and this trip brought us even closer together. It was nice to see all of our hard work in the Fall translate into these games and it was so much fun. Team unity and experiences together are so important to help get your team to the next level.

Is there a moment from your youth that set you up for career in coaching?

There are sooo many. I have been around sports my whole life! I really enjoy helping kids get better at something they love. When athletes work hard and it suddenly clicks, to then see their excitement is amazing, there really is nothing better than those moments!
