Australia is a society of people from a rich variety of cultural, ethnic, linguistic and religious backgrounds. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have inhabited Australia for tens of thousands of years however most Australians are immigrants or the descendants of immigrants. Today, almost one in four of Australia’s estimated resident population of 21 million was born overseas. Mainland Australia, with an area of 7.69 million square kilometers, is both the Earth’s largest island and also its smallest continent. Australia has one of the most urbanized and coast-dwelling populations in the world. Along the beautiful coast is Sydney, the nation’s largest city. The city’s Harbour Bridge and Opera House are national icons. Sydney is a city that posseses so much vibrant energy and natural beauty.

The tour is ideal for high school ages (14-19) who belong to a field hockey club or team and have the goal to play abroad and have fun! In addition to your time on the turf, we have planned historical tours, a harbour cruise, day trip to Bondi Beach, botanical gardens.

HockeyFest Details:

Join us for 13th Annual Hockeyfest International Youth Hockey Tournament in Sydney at Sydney Olympic Park. Competition will take place between July 10 and July 16. In the last 2 years, teams from Canada, Holland, Belgium, England, China and Australia compete.

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 9 games through the week.
Hockeyfest recreates the idea of the athletes village where all the teams live at central venues, and have the opportunity to mix and socialize with each other, have dinner and other activities away from the hockey field.

HOCKEYFEST represents a great opportunity for groups of all standards to enjoy the competition of an international sporting event.
