Director's Bio
Rachel Boyle is in her tenth season as the Shorewomen's head coach and 12th year as part of the Washington College field hockey coaching staff. Boyle took over as sole head coach following the 2002 season when she served as co-head coach. Boyle served as an assistant coach for the Shorewomen for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. During Boyle's time, the Shorewomen have reached post-season play, including both the Centennial Conference Tournament and the ECAC Tournament, on six occasions.
Coach Boyle earned a B.S. in Sport Industry and Coaching from Division I Ohio University in 1996. During her four-year career as a Bobcat, Boyle was a starting defender in the 1994 and 1995 seasons and served as a team co-captain during the 1995 season. Boyle earned a varsity letter in each of her four years and helped the Bobcats reach the Mid-American Conference Tournament during her junior and senior seasons.

Laura Scimeca, Assistant Coach at Norfolk Academy in VA Beach, Virginia. Washington College '05 holds school record for career goals & career points. Laura was a 2x First-Team All Conference and 2x All-South Region All-American & North-South Senior All-Star. Coach Scimeca was recently inducted into the Allentown High School Sports Hall of Fame, of Allentown, New Jersey along with her 1997 State Champion Field Hockey team.
Abigail Cerrone, Assistant Coach at Washington College. She was a four-year standout while playing Division I hockey at Lock Haven University. Abigail played center back for the Lady Eagles and helped lead them to four consecutive Northeast Conference Championships from 2004 to 2007. She served as a team captain as a senior when Lock Haven advanced to the NCAA Division I Tournament for the second consecutive year.
