Director's Bio

Jessica Reed Roach spent the last seven seasons as the Head Coach of the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. She took a program that began with just one win in its first season to 55 in the last four seasons; she led the team to win the Empire 8 title each of the last three seasons with an overall record of 60-26 over that span.

Jessica was a four-year starter at American University where she helped the Lady Eagles to a No. 12 national ranking. She was also a four-time member of the NHFCA Division I Academic Squad and a Colonial Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete. After graduation, Coach Roach went overseas to play field hockey in London, where she was a member of the England Hockey League’s Old Loughtonians during the 2000-01 season.

Jessica also serves as an Under-16 Futures coach for the U.S. Field Hockey Association Olympic Development program and coaches CT Revolution in Southbury, CT. She has been invited to coach at the National Futures Tournament, the Junior Olympics, Regional Rumble, and the USFHA High School Open Camp. Moreover, Coach Roach is the director of the New Jersey Field Hockey Garden State Games, which were hosted by the Stevens Institute of Technology in 2005, 2006, and 2008. Lastly, Jessica holds a certificate from the first International Hockey Federation Field Hockey course held in the United States.
