Director's Bio

American University Assistant Coach Nate Franks will direct this camp. Nate has been with AU for two seasons. He helped lead the ‘08 Eagles to their sixth consecutive undefeated regular season league record, sixth Patriot League Tournament Championship Title and a #18 National Ranking in the NFHCA Division I Polls.

As a player, Nate began in high school under the tutelage of Georgetown University assistant coach and former Canadian National Team member, Scott Smith. This training helped him become a member of the United States National Team practice squad in the summer of 2002. He is a Princeton University graduate and worked as the Tigers team manager and videographer for three seasons (2003-05) before becoming the student assistant in 2006. During his four years at Princeton, Coach Franks was able to use his experience as a player on the practice fields. He worked with the goalies and the defensive unit each of the four years he was with the squad, while also participating as a practice player.

Laura Dusablon, St. Margaret’s School Head Field Hockey Coach will be the camp’s Site Director. Laura graduated from Immaculata University in 2003 after four years of starting for the Mighty Macs field hockey team.

She earned All-American Academic Awards in ‘01 and ‘02; 3X Most Valuable Players ‘00, ‘01 and ‘02; and 2x All PAC All-Star ‘00 and‘01.
