Sacred Heart University Head Coach Chris Blais is in her eighth year with the Pioneer field hockey program. Sacred Heart has been successful both on and off the field during Blais’ tenure as head coach. Blais has established the program as one of the elite in the NEC. In 8 seasons of play SHU has registered a 42-24 mark against NEC opponents and the 2008 season marked the eighth straight year SHU Field Hockey has made a Northeast Conference Postseason Tournament appearance.
During the past eight season Blais has coached 28 All-Conference players, 2 NEC Rookie of the Year, an NEC Player of the Year, an NEC Offensive Player of the Year, an NEC Defensive Player of the Year, and 3 Mideast Region All-Americans.
The 1995 Penn State graduate was an NCAA All-American, a 3-Time All-Big Ten Academic-Athletic honoree and the recipient of the Academic-Athletic Achievement Award. Chris has coached at several US Field Hockey developmental camps and holds a USFHA Level II Coaching Accreditation.
