Director's Bio

Tara Jelley, former US National Team Member, earned 89 International Caps during her career from 1998 – 2005 and recorded 13 international goals as a forward. Tara’s play has been described as “fast and furious” and she is one of the more experienced US National Team Member’s to date.

Tara, who got a late start with the game, did not start playing until high school but quickly became one of the elite players earning a scholarship to the University of Massachusetts. At the University of Massachusetts Tara led the Minutewomen to the NCAA post season tournament all four years. Coach Jelley was named to the Collegiate All-American 2nd team, All-Atlantic Conference Team & All-Atlantic Tournament Team in her senior year.  After graduating in 1994, with a highly decorated collegiate resume, she joined hockey clubs in England and the Netherlands and her professional career took off from there.

Since retiring from the U.S. National Team, Tara joined the U.S. Indoor Team for the 2005 season and currently lives and trains in San Diego, California.

Tara is married to Steve Danielson, a 1996 Olympian/USA Men’s National Field Hockey Team Member. She looks forward to directing this Revolution Field Hockey Camp and continuing the growth of the game for youth players.
